Telemon Thorougbreds, the birthplace of ZOUSTAR, have secured the champion young sire’s most precocious and sharpest son SUN CITY as an exciting new prospect for Queensland. SUN CITY will stand at $7,700 including GST with Telemon offering select breeders equity in the horse via limited shares. In addition, a small number of lifetime breeding rights will be available.
Champion 2yo colt and champion first season sire SIDESTEP ($16,500 – 3rd season), multiple Group 1 winning sprinter JUNGLE CAT ($13,200 – 2nd season) and ZOUSTAR’s most precocious performer to date SUN CITY ($7,700 – 1st season) will complete Telemon’s stallion roster in 2020.
Few breeders understand the value of partnerships in thoroughbred racing and breeding better than Telemon principals Dan & Rae Fletcher. Recently they made some quality additions to their portfolio – SECRET LADY & CAUSEWAY QUEEN – by partnering with Western Queensland couple Yasmine Johnson & Andrew Thomas via their vehicle Thomjon Livestock.
With the Magic Millions QTIS Sale just around the corner and the Queensland breeding community set to come together, the market has been seeking some clarity as to the future plans for Champion First Season Sire 2018/19 SIDESTEP. In great news, Darley Stallions and Telemon Thoroughbreds have announced that SIDESTEP will continue to stand in Queensland.
Telemon foundation stallion SIDESTEP has had a prolific start to 2020. From his past nine runners he has sired three new winners with another three runner-up. This string of strong performers comes on the back of the stallion covering his highest quality book of mares across the latest Spring, heavily supported by leading local and interstate breeders.
